Then it went back to Corser for a lap before Haga had the first of two brief stints at the front. Toseland led laps 14 and 15, Haga 16 and 17, then Toseland took over again. As late as the 21st of 23 laps, the lead four were covered by a second with Toseland controlling the pace. The gaps changed but the order didn’t and Toseland took the win by a narrow .115 seconds. Third is also up for grabs with Klaffi Honda’s Alex Barros moving into the spot despite finishing seventh. Barros has one more point than Pitt, 240 to 239, with outgoing champion Corser third at 234. Team Pedercini’s Kurtis Roberts pitted on the third lap while in last place. The race was red-flagged on the first lap by oil on the track which caused Ivan Goi (Hon) to crash.
