AMA SuperBike shuffle 2007
(AMA Pro Racing Release) With really strong indications that Tommy Hayden will be riding a Yoshimura Suzuki next year, Yamaha's Jamie Hacking will likely be riding a Kawasaki to replace Hayden. “I can’t really say right now,” Hayden said after Saturday’s Superbike race. “It’s obviously that time of year. Everything’s not set in stone yet. I mean, it is that time of year. We’re trying to figure out what’s best.” What would he like to have happen? “It’s hard to say. I definitely want to ride Superbike next year and stay here and get a little more competitive. My guys on my team and everyone’s working hard. I feel like they’re doing good, but there’s some other things I feel like can be better and we’re trying to get those worked out and see where that takes us.” It is also possible that Aaron Yates, after losing his ride with Yoshimura Suzuki, will likely join Michael Jordan's Motorsports Suzuki but that has yet to be confirmed by Yates, “I’ve heard a lot of stuff too,” Yates said with a laugh after Sunday’s Superbike race. “Nothing confirmed or committed. Nothing like that. Just got a few options there and we’ll see what happens. This year it’s a little tight, most guys are in a two-year deal right now; there’s not a whole lot of places to go, but there actually are a few. So we’ll see what happens.” |
